On Thursday before Dragoncon, a bunch of us went to a really cool restaurant called Dante's Down The Hatch. It's basically a high-class restaurant with live jazz music, all designed to look like an 18th century sailing ship tied to the wharf of a mythical Mediteranian village. There is seating all around the ship and on the "wharf". They're also have the largest private population of crocodiles who float around the ship in the "wharf". One of their features is this really decadent chocolate fondue event. It's so massive, they only allow one fondue event per night and you need reservations because they hand-fold their chocolate 8 hours prior to the start of the event. Dante himself comes out and chats with his guests while we await the chocolate. That was, well, I'll say interesting. Anyway, here are the pics:

Friday, I got to meet Jammin Fite for the first time. For those who don't know, he is the creator of Leia's Metal Bikini website, a fan site that pays homage to the famous copper bikini scene in Star Wars. He started it several years ago. I had already made my Leia bikini and had a webpage dedicated to it, which he found and invited me to submit a picture and profile to his site. If you visit the fan costumes section, you'll see me as the second Slave Leia to grace his page. So we go way back, several years. But I've never met him. Then, after I created my Baroness costume, he contacted me and said he had a Cobra Commander costume, complete with mirrored face shield. So we immediately made plans for Baroness to hook up with Cobra Commander at Dragoncon. It was a hit, if I do say so myself, and the pictures I got turned out awesome. Thanks James!

On Saturday, I met up again with Jammin, but this time as Slave Leia to finally take part in his massive Group Slave Leia Photo Shoot. As of Dragoncon 2007, I'm still the only Slave Leia in a real copper bikini! In the final image with the guy in black in the center (Jammin), I'm the Leia on his right, down front and center. See if you can pick me out of all the rest! I'm posting almost all of the pictures Zen Shooter took, even though there are only 3 different arrangements, in case any of the Leias or their fans like one shot over another and want copies of any particular image:

I didn't get that many pictures because I was mostly frozen in picture poses myself, but here are a bunch of random snapshots taken throughout the convention (room party pictures down below) and the only pictures of my third costume, my Fire Elf:

In what is possibly a historic event, my entire network was actually all present for Dragoncon! Now, in order for this statement to be true, a few qualifications had to be met. There are people who are technically part of the network who are not present. I say "technically" because they are linked to the network by virtue of being romantically involved with someone in the network, but they do not include themselves in the "social" aspect of the network. So they may be romantically connected and may or may not be fluid-connected, and even may or may not be on friendly-terms with others in the network, but do not typically self-identify with the "group" that makes up my romantic network. This is a bit complicated, so if you want further clarification, ask me. The point here is, a bunch of partners and metamours all attended Dragoncon in an improbably high number and that is primarily what made it such a memorable event for me ... and we even took some pictures! Sorry, no orgy pics this time!
